Yeah, all that are left are those that can't leave due to visa shyt. But on the software engineering side of things in tech, the bottom picture is very accurate. Asians and Indians dominate in that arena. I've worked with multiple teams at big tech companies, and almost all of the engineers are Asian and on Visas. I've come to accept that Americans either don't prioritize software engineering/computer science in school or people in those other countries are just smarter.
Part of it too is some of these international folks got a whole H1B nepotism system. While not software engineering, I work in data and most of the H1Bs at my previous company knew someone else to get in.

We're 12-13% of the population and were 10% at Twitter.....so that's honestly not too bad.
