The first time that shyt happened to me was after I wrote an article and presented it at at major conference. Somebody literally came up to me on the street and was like, "wow that article was so good, it was eye-opening, one of my favorite things I've read...blah blah blah." Shaking my hand repeatedly and shyt, asking about what I'm gonna do in the future. It was flattering I guess, but he could just shook my hand and moved on, didn't have to get all emotional (the article was about a religious issue).

The second time was when I was teaching (I taught at a major university). Some guy came up to me years later at a dunkin donuts () and stanned the shyt outta mean for helping him get over his fear of public speaking and helping him decide to go into the peace corp and shyt. Real enthusiastic and awkward. He wanted to hang out and buy me a drink and shyt, talking to me for like 10 minutes about how cool and good of a teacher I was. I was just there eating my fukking donut and chain smoking wishing when he'd get the fukk away from me.
