Hell NO. I agree that a Black Director should do it but Perry isn't the one. He would make it way to dramatic. My picks are:

John Singleton - He already directed Pac in "Poetic Justice" plus he can capture the L.A. hood vibe very well.
Antwon Fuqua - He can capture the dark side perfectly
Spike Lee - Are you kidding? Spike could kill a Pac Bio-pic.


Tyler Perry has the hype and money behind him but he hasn't shown me enough skill to pull off a Pac Bio-Pic. He only threw his name out there cause he knows everyone is tired of his weak movies, weak plots and weak directing. So now he wants to challenge himself to get his street cred back in the black community. It didn't take Spike for a lot of black people to see he just wasn't a quality director. Sure his movies will make it's money and his TV shows get their episodes but they aren't quality. I don't hate the brother for his success. I hate the fact he has his own stuido, own money, but can't do good concepts, stories and again his directing is weak. Stay Away From Tupac.

tarantino gets to direct the scenes where the villains, Anderson and Wallace, are vanquished...
