Yeah the concept isn't bad at all and I remember watching an old black and white movie in my AA studies class that did a good job of it. And although not quite a love story, but A Devil in a Blue Dress tackled that issue really well too while also telling an interesting story.

But this is Tyler Perry and his last Netflix movie was a hilarious mess.

I just got finished watching some episodes of Godfather of Harlem on Hulu. They threw in a side-story of a Black musician in love with a White woman scene that eventually gets him killed in that. I am not going to waste time watching a whole movie with that theme.
