NC is a Romney state
NC is pretty much a moderate/left leaning swing state now. Only reason why Romney will most likely win it this time around is due to the state having a sour taste in their mouth with democrats because our current Democrat governor literally being incompetent at the job. She didn't even run for reelection and pretty much quit on the job last year. Hell she was even voted and polled as the worst governor in the country. Still despite all that Romney only has small a 2-3 point lead over Obama here, with most polls have it being a straight tossup.
