Not a fan boy of the windmill wilder i've all always been neutral when it came to aj, wilder and fury.

The fury hype train right now reminds of the aj hype train pre ruiz. "Who would win aj vs prime mike tyson :ohhh:"

Look right now fury is looking like the best heavyweight of this generation which is cool. But people are really talking he top 5 of all time :francis:, the best British heavyweight ever :francis:, ATG :hhh:

At the end of his career he might accomplish all those accolades but as of right now he is far away.

1. This is dudes first title defence in 6 years

2. His resume is not great at all.

3. Dudes lifestyle looks like it's catching up to him (wilder should have been ko'd by round 4)

If in 4 years, fury has beaten usyk, joshua, whyte, ruiz, and few more top 5 guys. I will tip my cap off to him but I honestly see him getting exposed....ok exposed might be too hard but found out real soon :yeshrug:

Don't think it's even a case of being found out, just in heavyweight boxing (in all boxing but in heavyweight in particular) if you fight at a high level consistently you're almost guaranteed to lose. All the greatest heavyweights in history have lost, bar Marciano and that was a different era. Fury isn't unbeatable, none of these fighters are, fights rely on many things, skills, training, judges/refs, luck is involved too.

Op is right. His best wins are against Wilder (who has lose the majority of rounds he has been in until he kos his opponent) and a senior citizen Klitschko. Wouldn't surprise me if he retires after this again due to fear of fighting someone who would actually give him trouble.

I give tyson fury full props from coming back from obesity to being the number 1 ranked heavyweight, but lets take a closer look at him.

1. Has faced one top 10 opponent in 6 years

2. Went life and death with top 20 otto wallin

3. Beating wilder which was a good win but lets not act like wilder resume is not 40 bums and luis ortiz.

I need a few more top 10 wins, top 5 wins and a few more title defences before I put him any heavyweight top 10

All we can say is he is both the best and most skilled of this generation, which is a dangerous combination. Esposed? He won't ever be exposed for having a "flaw" that makes him vulnerable. He has checked all the boxes. Now he may get beaten one night, but it won't be an exposal.

Someone will probably catch him in a few years as he gets older like he caught Vlad at the right time.

Fury’s matchmaking is very clever.

I don’t think he’s scared of anyone, but he manages his career smart. If he isn’t fighting a top tier guy like Wlad or Wilder, he’s fighting a very underwhelming opponent, and uses those tuneup fights to market the bigger fight down the road.

He’ll fight the Schwarz’ and Wallins’ of the world, but skip out on the solid heavyweights, even though he would probably them.

My guess is he’ll probably fight some heavyweights I’ve never heard of until he gets the undisputed fight.

We passed the phase of Fury's career where he could be "exposed", lmao.

We passed it ever since he dethroned Klitschko. The majority of boxing fans thought that he has some skills but an even bigger mouth and he gonna get absolutely whopped by Wlad. Fury has done proved himself then, he can't be "exposed" after such a win.
Add his wins over Wilder and it's even more true. Hate the guy or love him he could retire today and be a top 30 HW ever based on his wins. He hasn't beaten that many good opponents, but when he did those were big. Few and far between but he sometimes beat opponents too that was good but not top 5 or 10, Wallin and Chisora namely.

Who would expose him from the current scene anyway?
Usyk might have the best shot to beat him but hard to see him beating Fury so comprehensively that Fury's credibility would suffer after wins over Wlad and Wilder :ld:
