Just a random piece of info. Just checked out a dope podcast on the history of Rocafella. Busta never laid the vocals, and Prodigy was about to record his, but some shyt popped up and he had to run.
Also, Cam'ron rapped over Izzo and then saw Jay perform it live on the MTV Awards and was pissed off.
Oh Boy was held for Just Blaze for well over a year and Cam'ron and them eventually snagged it and rapped on it and took it straight to radio before the sample cleared.
Takeover was originally for Beanie Sigel. Heart of the City was originally for DMX. Izzo was originally for Ghostface. Girls Girls Girls was also for Ghostface.
Also, the original State Property album was supposed to be a Beans and Bleek album, but Freeway quietly and politely asked Just Blaze for a beat, and did his part of Roc The Mic.
You Me Him Her was the first song recorded for Dynasty, and the first song recorded in Bassline Studios. Jay recorded most of The Dynasty in one night, and left spaces all over the album for Beans and Bleek.
Jay recorded Heart of the City, Never Change, Izzo, Girls Girls Girls, and U Don't Know over a weekend.
Solid podcast. Never heard of these dudes before, but they brought out Biggs, Young Guru, Just Blaze, Hip-Hop, Gee Roberson, Freeway, Jim Jones, Neef, and some others from Rocafella history.
