It actually illuminates how much it does matter. No Trump= almost 200 less federal judges, not to mention, Kavanaugh. Same shyt with the state and local level. Judges is enough to make one a single issue voter because of the far reaching effects of the courts.

Yeah, they put this in place as soon as Evers was elected. Business as usual.

Unfortunately, the state is heavily gerrymandered and ultimately controlled by a few backwoods hicks. Factor in a state Democratic Party that was poorly run for a long time (namely, not seriously contesting seats and/or weak ground game), outside dark money, plus compromised local media, and you end up with a pack of right-wing ideologues on the Supreme Court.

Wisconsin state repubs went nuts when Walker lost in 2018 and did a bunch of shyt to strip the powers of the next Gov b/c he's a democrat. The state SC upholds all their bullshyt so they're a lost cause. When Evers is up for reelection, they'll paint him as ineffective like they didn't neuter him.
