or you never hear about them talking about something that happened in their sport.

For example, when Lebron had that dunk on Jason Terry a few weeks ago ESPN was showing all these tweets from other basketball players, same for the deandre jordan dunk

but when something crazy, major, or cool happens in baseball you never hear the mlb players tweeting about it. So is it not happening or is it just not being reported

You never hear about baseball players getting in any social networking drama. I must admit the only mlb player twitter page that ive visited is Harper's

Half of MLB can't even speak the language or put a coherent sentence together, the other half are either hillbilly white boys or a bunch of c00n ass Oreo cookie ass nikkaz. Not really alotta flamboyant, flashy, over the top nikkaz in baseball.

What would they be tweeting
Alex Rodriguez ‏@alexrodriguezNY

Went to the mall w/ the cuz @Yuri and noticed that I went from a 8 1/4 to 8 3/4 hat size. Let all my rage out on the cashier

But this is kind of a related problem to the marketing/appeal baseball has to the younger age group. They've been trying to make a conscious effort to improve their social media, but that's hard if nobody is really connected or cares about the star players of the league :manny:

they wont let that melanin and swag run free in the league. They make sure their African-talents aren't of American stock. :lolbron:

if twitter existed when Chan Ho Park let off that whooping cane kick, it would've set twitter on fire.

forreal, it's just the nature of baseball that allows it to be like that....and the fact that most blacks don't watch it.

aint really too much that can happen in baseball thats embarrassing/exciting enough to set twitter ablaze.

Brandon McCarthy has a better Twitter account than anybody in NFL/NBA.

I remember Brian Wilson tweeting being out in Scottsdale drinking and clowning the AZ locals and then he blew the save against the dbacks the next day. Everyone shyt on him for being hung over and first he said he made up the whole story and that he was in his hotel room all night then then by the next day his twitter was gone. I think baseball teams have a pretty short leash on this kind of thing.
