Both times he got sat down, they brought him right back in the main event/title slot. So, really that was just time off for him.
Real shyt, Dana White legitimately needs someone to press him for being an enabler. Each time Jones fukks up, he goes on and says how betrayed he is, but then never actually DOES anything. The closest he came was stripping him of the light heavyweight title after the first major DUI, but he gave him a fight for the interim belt on his first fight back. When he popped hot after the second Cormier fight, he walks back into an immediate fight for the belt. Other than lost time, there have been absolutely no professional repercussions for his actions. So, of course he hasn't learned his lesson. No one's been willing to teach it.
