Dern landed 100 more strikes, had 9+ minutes of control time compared to 4+ minutes of control time ... but still lost on the score cards.

I can see Yan winning but I think Dern got the draw with how she controlled the last round and had her with a whole lot of shots.

that shyt was a draw. definitely wasn't a clear cut win either way.

Female fighters are getting too well rounded. Dern needs to improve her striking and judo. If this was back when Rhonda was fighting Dern would be the champ.

i wouldn't hate a draw, but could live with the yan victory since one of those rounds got gifted to dern, and cuz i bet yan
You say this, but all it took for Dern to do what she wanted was for her to bum rush Yan. That's literally all it took. To hell with Yan's kicks, teeps, random uppercuts or hooks. Just charge in and grab. It only failed when Dern tried to stand and plod in.

While true that was in the fifth round when Yan's strikes aren't hitting as hard and already knowing your losing the fight. Even with the big experience gap in Brazilian Jiu-jitsu, Dern wasn't able to finish Yan in the fifth when she had her on the mat for 2+ minutes.
