I think that is kinda true. Also, the most attractive women also typically have low self esteem. They have been judged on their looks their whole lives. Many see that beauty is their most valuable quality. Then, trying to live up to that perceived beauty day in an day out, leads to a lot of self doubt.

I think this is a more accurate explanation. On top of that there are some very attractive women that don’t get approached as often, because men assume they are already taken or out of their league.
