If you look at the threads that CACklemore had, you see the disdain that I have for him. The reason why rappers like him took over is because black folk never took care of rap and abused it for financial gain. The downfall of it is a good portion of black folks' fault for selling it out so quick just to get that crossover money. If you ignore that fact, then I dunno what else I can tell you. Benzino and a bunch of other rappers back in the early 00s sold out for that big money, and none of them are here today because of their actions.

I said that Benzino and the people that exploited rap are not at the forefront anymore. He is resorting to make shytty trap music for the sake of money and nothing else. I never said that white rappers never took care of the artform, but black folks abused it and sold it out voluntarily, and the CACs merely took advantage of us doing so like that. I never said that Eminem or any white rapper is the savior, but Benzino needs to take responsibility of the wrongdoings that he did for his selfish gain, like writing bad reviews of artists that never collaborate with him back when the Source was THE bible of Hip Hop.

Yes and yes, he played God and Benz lost in the long run. And yes, a lot of black folk voluntarily sold out for that crossover money because they want to ball out. Hate accountability as much as you want, but any Hip Hop Historian will tell you that. From Puffy onwards, more came in for the money than the love of Hip Hop, and now the money has run dry for us. CACs just saw that shyt and it was easy for them to take over because of the lack of respect we gave to this culture. Trend hopping and imaged based music over the substance killed us.
