A woman cried rape because she was angry that her lift home was taking too long to find his car, a court has heard.
Comfort Yinusa admitted perverting the course of justice after wasting more than 100 hours of police time when she claimed a Nigerian man raped her.
The man Yinusa accused - who cannot be named - spent 14 hours in a police cell while his friend, who was accused of groping Yinusa, spent 18 hours in custody.
Both were then on police bail for six weeks.
The victim had left Tube worker Yinusa, from Tilbury, in a McDonalds near Liverpool Street Station for 45 minutes as he tried to find his lost parked car in the early hours of October 2013.
The victim told police that he remained in contact with Yinusa by phone as he tried to find the car but she was getting angrier and angrier.
When he arrived to pick her up she stormed off and called her boyfriend to pick her up instead.
As they drove home she told him she had been raped by the accountant and sexually assaulted by his friend.

Sentence: Yinusa will be sentenced at the Old Bailey
Unemployed Yinusa, who was 22 at the time, was a daily cocaine user and twice over the drink drive limit and reacted with anger.
She claimed she had met the accused man at the Dollhouse nightclub near Liverpool Street that night.
Officers identified where the rape was said to have happened in Old Broad Street and placed a cordon around it for several hours.
But four hours after making the rape claim, she refused to have a medical examination and then repeatedly refused to attend police interviews.
During the investigation detectives seized CCTV from 16 venues and pieced together that her attacker had been looking for his car and cameras covering the place where she claimed she was raped recorded no such thing.
Detectives found she had swapped numbers with her alleged attacker, but when presented with CCTV and phone evidence she made no comment.
It was only as her trial was to begin that Yinusa, 24, admitted perverting the course of justice.
Claim: Yinusa made up the rape claim
Judge Peter Rook QC said: "It's very difficult to explain why she did what she did. Clearly she was intoxicated. It's very difficult why this young girl of good character should behave in this way.
"Clearly the fact she had to wait 45 minutes for a lift was a factor in what she did. It was transferred anger."
Her barrister Neville Rudston added: "The seriousness of these allegations does not escape this room.
"It's popular seen as a monsterous act, the enormity of the consequences were suitably clear."
But he added: "It is obvious she was emotionally vulnerable. Desperate people do not always tell the truth."
He added his client at the time "self medicated herself" with cocaine "day and night to numb her self from her dreadful experiences."
Now she suffers from progressive rheumatoid arthritis
Judge Rook adjourned sentence for medical reports he said: "Matters to be addressed obviously is diagnoses and prognoses, how progressive it is and how likely it will affect her life in years to come.
"I am going to extend bail on the same conditions. I make it clear by doing so I am not giving any indication as to sentence."
Addressing Yinusa he added: "You have pleaded guilty to a very serious offence. Now I must decided the appropriate sentence for you.
"I have considered a lot of material placed before me including a letter you wrote to me and a pre-sentenced report.
"It does concern me I do not have a medical report before me because you have been diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis and are on medication. For that reason I adjourn sentence.
"I am not making any promises as to sentence and you must not take it as because I am releasing you on bail that you won't go to prison.",
Yinusa of Tilbury in Essex, who has a caution for shoplifting aged 17, was released on bail until sentence on Friday.
