Ultimatums in relationships

YOu all know that almost never works, right? If it does there is always gonna be some residue of resentment.

I hear of stories of my friends and other people talking about this. Some of them are women who are actually my close friends, too. I never understood why some women tend to do this when it's time to commit or propose or could be any other smaller issues too. If you have to resort to that then the person's going to resent you no matter what they ends up doing at first.

While I do feel it is important to let people know where you stand, If you have to do ultimatums it's time to go. Better to just go whatever you were going to threaten.

There's a difference between wanting something out of a relationship like marriage versus your partner wanting to do something disrespectful, shady etc.

Like let's say your chick talking about she wants to go to the club, and you think she really going there to meet dudes. You tell her, "you go and I'm done" versus your girl telling you "if we don't get married in x amount of years, then I'm leaving you".
