I don't think that's their main concern but they got boyfriends outside the village. This sounds like if you made the YWCA a village. A lot of em are escaping violence and oppression.
Kenyan women have always been outspoken though. They are not pushovers even in a patriarchal society and Africa in general has the largest number of female entrepreneurs in the world.
The first African Woman to win the nobel peace prize was Kenyan as well.
