4.)the UN is a coalition that provides a platform for it's Members to hash things out and protect it's major members. It's not some free standing government so it's corruption is largely a result of having corrupt governments as members.

I think this is a very important point and I can't speak for everyone, but I dap plenty of posts I don't always agree with. Sometimes it just means it made me . Other times it just me acknowledging I read it and I plan to respond or it was a response to my post.

Either way, I come to HL to see people's views on a variety of things and it's more accessible than starting a Skype meeting with my friends or coordinating all of our schedules.

it's typical, and it's ironic considering how Higher Learning is supposed to be for ppl that hope to engage in "higher level" conversation and yet it rarely ever happens here.

The idea behind UN is a worthy one but yes they do cause more harm than good in many situations. They should focus on the original objective of collective security.
