people are just really stupid. history should be a clear indicator. the march of progress always moves forward. every other console generation saw graphics improve exponentially as the devs became more familiar and comfortable with the new technology. why on earth would the PS4 be no different?

as crazy as 2015 graphics are gonna be, imagine 2018 as we hit the end of this gen? considering how much PS3 games improved graphically at the end of last gen (Last of US, GTA 5), I almost can't imagine what that year will be like.

Anyone who says that the PS4's graphics were maxed out is damn retard. You can pick any system out and the longer it's been out the better the graphics get.

But imagine what games will look like in 2-3 years from now

what's the difference between a pre-rendered cut-scene and "CG"?

this is kind of where terms become meaningless. "CGI" means "computer generated imagery". to be clear, by that definition, all of this is "CGI". within the context of these trailers and such, "CGI" would usually refer to something pre-rendered, possibly with a different engine and/or different assets

the question should be if what we're seeing is being rendered in real-time on the PS4
