Following his loss to Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 33, The Undertaker is reportedly set to undergo surgery.

According to Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio (h/t Raj Giri of WrestlingInc.com), The Deadman is "getting more surgeries now." Taker reportedly held off on hip surgery and is in need of a full hip replacement.

Following The Phenom's loss to Reigns, he left his gloves, jacket and hat in the ring before descending under the stage to close the show.

Although no official announcement was made, it felt very much like a retirement for the 52-year-old veteran.


The Undertaker worked a 20-plus-minute match with Reigns, but he often seemed to lack the explosiveness he possessed during his heyday.

Taker began wrestling in 1984 and has been part of WWE since 1990. He has competed at WrestleMania on 25 occasions, posting a 23-2 record, and becoming synonymous with the biggest event in sports entertainment.

Provided WrestleMania 33 was the final match of The Undertaker's illustrious career, he will go down as one of the most popular and accomplished Superstars in WWE history, and a Hall of Fame induction likely isn't far behind.
