Drake Issued Cease-And-Desist From University Of Kentucky Basketball Program

The University of Kentucky issued a cease-and-desist letter to Drake for violating NCAA rules regarding recruits, Sporting News reports.
The program self-reported violations that occurred at a basketball event and is asking the rapper to "refrain from conversations with prospects or taking photos with prospects when that conversation or photo occurs outside the parameters established by the NCAA," according to the letter sent by the school and obtained by Sporting News in an open records request.
Drake attended the Big Blue Madness event for the Kentucky Wildcats basketball program in October. He garnered attention for shooting an airball while warming up with the team.
Recruits were also at the Big Blue Madness event. Drake's camp and the recruits were told of the potential for violations to occur and were informed not to communicate with each other. The program allegedly surveilled the hallways to ensure the rapper and recruits did not come into contact.
At the event's conclusion, Drake made his way to the locker room to say goodbye to head coach John Calipari. The coach was not there, but one of the recruits saw Drake and asked for a picture. The rapper apparently agreed, as the photo appeared on Twitter.
The program is saying that the violation is minor because the identified recruit had already committed to the team months prior to the event and, therefore, Drake's presence at the event would not have influenced his decision.
Drake is a fan of the Wildcats and celebrated with the team after its Final Four victory over the Wisconsin Badgers in 2014.
