I'm not saying this as some kind of pride of "well, the Haitian slaves on the island suffered chopped hands and raped women before the slaves in Alabama did"My Mother side of the family was slaves on the islands by the Spanish before moving them to Texas 20 years later.
Most African Americans ancestry were slaves on the islands for years before being moved to the states.
So, our struggle are not pre-dated.
It all happened at the same time or first in the islands, so there's no "piggybacking" going on here.
But Americans have to get passed this nonsense like somehow their struggle encapsulates all racism and slavery that happened everywhere else on the world.
As if somehow black people in the caribbean owe something or are trying to sidle up to the struggle and progress that black american slaves have made.
Those people have their own struggle and progress.
This thread was about 1 Tuskegee Airman who happened to be born in the DR.
But because he shares the same skin color as someone else...we're back to this "black dominicans have self hate" and all this bullshyt?
It says a lot about the people who constantly initiate this shyt in these threads.

rewrite history brehs.
or do their best not to claim it.
I should just stay quiet since I don't really have time for any rebuttals.
