So, I have been on 1 or 2-year contract plans since the 90s. :old:

Now, I see I hardly use my cell phone except for the occational call or text. Seriously brehs, I don't have a lot of people to contact. :sadbron:
Anywa, I figure I am spending way too much on monthly contract fees. So I am thinking of cancelling when my two-years are up and switching to pay as you go with AT&T. I don't like any of their Go Phones. I am interested in getting an unlocked phone from newegg.com and then getting a SIM card and using that on the AT&T network.
Anyone else ever do that?

Note, I don't need a smartphone or would use one for its features. I hardly use the extras on my current phone. I just use phone, text, camera, and calculator.

I dropped my phone out of my pocket while working on my car. The screen got ruined and I could only see about 2/3 of it. The phone still works.
So, I got an unlocked Samsung from an eBay store. It was made for the AT&T network, which is good since I have an AT&T contract. I put my SIM card into it and it works so that's good.

I didn't know Straight Talk would be good. I was worried about signal and coverage even though they are cheap.
