Unpopular Opinion: Most black people have self hating/c00nish type tendencies

TheColi and other black online spaces are an exception to the rule. IRL, outside of a few conscious brothers and sisters, I've never met a black person who didn't have some issue as it pertains to colorism, favoring European physical traits, had an inferiority complex when it came to actually interacting with whites, or just casually denigrate their own people.

I may get downvoted to oblivion on this but its true imo.


And yes this pertains to not only ADOS/FBA but people of African ancestry worldwide. Don't even let me get started on the levels of c00nery I've seen displayed by Africans.

Is this really opinion tho? It’s no secret we been conditioned to hate ourselves. This is why I get annoyed when folks talk bad about referring to ourselves as kings and queens. It’s uplifting. As kids in school we learn all about European royalty but not African except for Egypt. Many of us might really descend from royalty and we don’t even know it

Yeah I'm getting old. And with age I've seen enough lead me to that opinion. As a people we've been conditioned to hate ourselves. But I think a lot of people in black online spaces are a bit naive with the current mindset of a lot of our people.

I agree. But I will say Black people are the only group of people who openly shame our own members who pretend and dismiss this truth (c00ns). Other groups tend to use denial of their own colonialism, white supremacist ideals and self hatred to fit in, amongst themselves and others.

But you will see even here on the coli someone talk about Black Men and Women no different than a white supremacist would and they won't really get challenged. This is becoming more accepted amongst us especially if its gender based. It's truly a sickness and many are confused when others aren't as sick as them. The flip-side is many folk know they are sick but get a kick out of normalizing it through deception i.e Gender Wars, Politics, Dating Dynamics, Economics, Art Expression, Social Dialogue etcs

You're right colorism is dehumanization. Coming up the way in which some of us so casually dehumanized each other had always bothered me. Especially the fact that no one around me seemed to care.
