there hasn’t been a rap or r&b album in years or a decade that will be listen to 10/15/20 years down the line as a classic similar to thriller, the chronic, etc….

People will always remember music from their highschool years and early twenties as classics
There are people who think the 2001/2002 murder Inc bubble gum rap and swizz beats three finger triton production era was classic while early and mid nineties heads looked at that shyt as an abomination.

99.9% of rap is garbage. Pretty much everyone is garbage except the truly lyrical ones. The genre has pretty much run its course.

Hip hip is trash now. I hear good beats, and ABYSMAL lyrics, and it ruins the song for me.

I don’t want to hear all that cursing, and talking about sex, and weed, and bytches, and letting the condom slip off, and all those other things we don’t need repeating in our minds over and over again.

Black people deserve the poison rap being peddled to them.

It's not bad for us, it is necessary. If after decades of being denigrated by people that look like you as representatives of not owning what they speak on, we deserve it.

A black community that is in their right mind would not tolerate any artist getting their sheckles poisoning the community. We are not that.

Keep the devil music coming until we learn that we need better and action it.

The current generation of rappers are the most technical batch of rappers since the 90s, but since most “rap fans”(even the one that swear up and down on their knowledge and pedigree) can’t recognize a slant rhyme or an internal rhyme scheme, people sleep.
