New Houston Cougars head football coach Tom Herman hitting that recruiting tour hard.
Herman was an offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach for Urban Meyer at OSU.
A member of the American Athletic conference (formerly the Big East), Houston was 8-5 last year beating Pitt 35-34 in the Lockheed Martin Armed Forces Bowl

Still, if Herman is able to poach Texas high school talent from the Longhorns, things could get interesting.

But how does a coach with no experience get those kinds of top recruits?
This is a conference with SMU in it.
Is Houston the new SMU? Are they buying players?

I'm teasing, of course.
