The xb1s is the ultimate media box that happens to play games. I use my x1s daily to watch TV, stream, play downloaded files, etc.

My X1S gets substantially more play than my PS4pro.

From a media perspective, the X1S is just a better machine.

If you're buying it for gaming only though, I can see your hesitation. If you look at it as the ultimate media box, there's no reason to skip it. It's the truth

But I have/had Playstation Vue And I stream netflix/amazon video/hbo go on my ps4 as well. And they updated it so that ps4 can now be a media hug for files like the ps3 was

I got a monster gaming PC (6850K & Titan X P Sli), ps4pro for exclusives, and X1S for media consumption. I look at the X1S as my media hub that happens to play games. I don't really care for the exclusives that much (minus FH3), but as a media player it's the best on the market

$250 for the best media player, 4K UHD BD player, etc., is worth it to me. Nothing comes close. I use it daily, while I only use my PS4pro a few times a week (I'm primarily a PC gamer).

Once you stop viewing the X1S as a gaming system, you'll see the value in it. Where else can you get streaming, an mkv media player, and a 4KUHD BD player for the same price. 4K UHD BD players cost the same price. With the X1S, you get that and it can play games. It's a worthwhile purchase for media consumption alone. AND it plays games.

If I had to throw away my PS4Pro or X1S, I'd throw the PS4Pro in the trash.

Like I said, I use the X1S daily. It's the best media player on the market....period.

I only recommend it if you want an affordable 4K disc player. Unless if you played the XB1 exclusives before and enjoyed them a lot, I wouldn't really recommend it based on the exclusives.

Unless you playing most of the exclusives on ps4 and gaming more than your average gamer xb1 is still a much better choice to jump out the game with as far as a next gen console goes.

Outside of missing out on like 3 exclusives right now your getting a much better media machine, cheaper gaming machine and much better free games and discounted games plus backwards compatibility.



If you game alot then ps4 is the better choice.
