i don't know a ton about computers :sadcam:

Then all you gotta do is update your resume. Keep the companies names the same and the time periods you worked there the same because they will verify that you were employed there during the duration listed HOWEVER you can lie about your job, title, description because all they can do is verify employment they cannot ask them what you did, your position, why you left etc.

Where You Went to School or Where You Work Determines Your Social Class

Like most cities where there's a dominant industry and a surplus of competition, it's common to believe that your career or alma mater makes you a better person—which is dumb, because Arianna Huffington went to Cambridge, and Donald Rumsfeld went to Georgetown and Princeton.

This is the attitude that allows individuals to coast on their reputation, their family connections, their wealth, or all of the above. When was the last time the president didn't have an Ivy League education? Reagan? OK, maybe a bad example, but the point is that DC rewards those who are already successful, and as shown by the poverty stats, doesn't really give a damn about those who haven't made it. So if you aren't a big shot, it's helpful to pretend you are.

The city is full of the kind of people who claim they’re best friends with Senator Ron Wyden, because they know a person who has a business card of another person, who is mutual friends with his neighbor. Worse than that are the people who say that they’re hanging out with Representative Keith Ellison when they’re actually sitting eight rows back at some pep rally for immigration reform.

Washington DC Is Just Los Angeles for Ugly People

The same rules of status, image, and networking apply here as in LA. Washington is consumed with who is eating at what restaurant, who is dating whom, what kind of home you own, and how powerful your publicist is. But instead of celebrities drunk-driving and trying not to be noticed in public, we have Mitch "Turtle Face" McConnell. DC's ruling class isn't going to be on the cover of French Vogue anytime soon.

DUDE WHAT THE fukk ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT???? I am completely lost.

naw bruh...you're just a loser who didn't/doesn't go outside of your comfort zone i.e. those same people who you call soulless. DC has PLENTY of everything you said the city lacks. Just go to u street and you'll see a bunch of different cultures, restaurants, bars, music spots, etc. fpr you to think everyone in DC is in politics is fukking ridiculous....fukkouttahere with that dumb shyt.

I went back in visit DC a few weeks ago. I went to a club on U st with this chick I use to talk to. She had some fine girls with her. The place was packed. No one was dancing, it was my homegirl's friend bday. She's fine as fukk, not one dude talked to her. Dudes are thirsty but are tired of getting shot down and hi-sided on. That's what DC is about, everyone pretending to be too good for each other, most people are single.

Bunch of miserable, lonely people pretending to be extremely successful and acting like their lives are perfect because they're making 50k plus and drive a 2007 Acura TL or a new Sonata.

Straight costume party. Only so long you can take that faking shyt.

For all of you who remembered, i'd been working in DC in the IT field for 10 years making good money. I had saved up a lot of money and I was tired of the DC work scene and decided to move to Louisiana to be near my family and maybe start a business. I made the move this past July. As far as the business, it was too risky, hard to find a good location and money just isn't flowing well here at all. Honestly you need a team of people (investors) to help you start a business if possible. It's a lot to alone, but possible. I still have aspiration of starting a business someday, but I'll wait til an opportunity presents itself instead of trying to force it.

After months of trying to start a business, I fell back on that and started travelling the world and the US. Went to Turkey, France and Germany, DC about 5 times and to Atl a few times. I been eating and spending frivolously. With that said, I've seen my savings lose about 30k in the past 8 months. Most of that was for my business venture. Fukk it i guess. I still have a good amount left, but it's time to get back on the grind.

I start teaching middle school tomorrow, i'm taking a big pay cut, but at least I won't using my savings. I'm going to give this a try for a month or so. If it doesn't work out well, I'm might be heading back to DC to stack up some more money and go back at it.

Thing is, I was miserable in DC and I had to leave to see what was what. When you aren't happy you have to try something to change you thoughts and feelings. I still don't like the DC vibe, but I might have to go back for the money.

Life is crazy my gz :whew:

dc vibe?

aslo can i borrow 10000 dollars? i have a sure thin and i'll pay u back doubel by this time next year probably

A lot of dudes are starving when it comes to dating in DC. Thank God im 6'2 and in decent shape. I've been blessed to pull the ones Ive have. A lot of dudes come from NY and LA, where they where the man, not in DC. A lot of competition here plus some of this can stunt with the best of em. Dudes be getting out of a back of a Nissan sentra, dressing and swagging like Puff Daddy.

And here 90% of the women are chasing and waiting around for the top 15% of the men here. A lot of dudes aren't eating at all.
