He's on the spectrum and he's led a relatively drama free life. Not everyone is a street nikka. It doesn't make him any less of a man. This idea that he has to go hard and be all brolic about this situation is the definition of toxic masculinity. Not everyone is built the same. shyt, he's damn near 60, you're not supposed to be dealing with this kind of shyt at his age.

According to an ABC News producer, who is in attendance for the first of two shows Wednesday night, Rock took the stage dressed in all white at about 8:15 p.m. after a quick opening act.

The crowd erupted into applause as soon as Rock took the stage. His first words were: "What's up Boston? How was your weekend?"

After drawing a laugh with his opening line, the crowd continued to cheer for Rock, who became visibly emotional as he wiped away tears and was visibly crying.

"Y'all are getting me all misty-eyed and (expletive)," Rock said, according to the ABC News producer.

The crowd eventually sat down but quickly rose to their feet again, as chants of "(Expletive) Will Smith" were heard among a few in the crowd at The Wilbur. According to the ABC News producer, Rock did not join that chant but his smile appeared to get a little wider when he heard it.

When the crowd finally calmed down, Rock said he had a whole show prepared before "what happened" and that he will eventually get to addressing the incident at the Oscars. He said the material he prepared was done in advance and joked that he did not have time to change it. He then broke into jokes about the COVID-19 pandemic.

“I'm still kind of processing what happened," according to audio posted by the Hollywood trade outlet Variety.

Rock's six-show set at The Wilbur — two each on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday at 7:30 p.m. and 10 p.m. — are sold out, and no photography or video is allowed during the shows. Guests will be asked to secure their phones in a sealed pouch during Rock's performances

Tickets for the "Ego Death World Tour" are available on third-party sites, such as Stubhub and TickPick.

"There were a couple of pairs remaining for tonight’s show that are up in over the $1,000 price range right now," said Robert Tellia, an Ace Ticket Sales specialist. "This is definitely a very unique situation, where literally overnight the demand goes up 100, 200 even 300% in some cases."

This dude is weak. What you mean, still processing
I have to disagree. Of anything, I applaud Chris' handling of this situation. He has handled himself very well throughout of all of this. We should be pushing for him and Will to sort out their differences peacefully. Hell, even on camera if that is good. We should have Will donate to a charity of Rock's choosing. We should get both sides to talk this shyt out and put everything to rest. Will's issues with the Academy are a separate issue unto itself but in doing that, it will make it easier for all parties to move past this and prevent future incidents from going down. He is not fanning the flames and that is commendable on his part.

That said, I do wonder, since it has been revealed by the producer of the Oscars show that Rock went off-script and that he may not have written the joke if Rock did some dirty shyt and that is why he is quiet in which case, I understand and hope all parties come to a resolution. :yeshrug:

Naw, when Will said keep my wife name out your mf mouth he had 6 in the camber and was about to slip and say something but that jaw sting made him shut up. He was witty enough he just ain't have the balls to do it.

I mean in fairness....security at the Oscar's is weak. They told Will he had to leave and he didn't. Chris is 4 inches shorter and 60 lbs lighter plus Will has seen the inside of a gym (boxing AND lifting). Might as well have Michael Blackson clown Mike Tyson, get slapped and then clown him again :russ:.

No one was gonna step in and help a black man.

Chris has the jokes but he's trying to decide if he wants to drop them or move on. He's a good dude. Now a breh like Jamie Foxx would have let those hands fly and then spent 30 minutes roasting Jada.
