i seen this is the 2nd server upgrade in about a month, is traffic going up that much already? and do different servers handle different amount of traffic? if so whats the capacity of this one?

Our traffic doubled from May to June and so far in the July we see no signs of slowing down.

You can't really put a number on how much a server can handle besides bandwidth, and that can always be increased. but now we have significantly our processing power. this server should last us for awhile but eventually we will have to upgrade once again. that upgrade should go a lot smoother and hopefully is months and months away

we weren't closed for 20 hours, we were closed for a few hours in the morning during the migration to the new server and then a few more hours at night while we worked out some bugs. the board might have been inaccessible for some during the day but that is totally out of our hands and theres nothing anyone can do about that, and we weren't actually "down".

also we had more traffic yesterday than we we did on monday and tuesday so members and guests haven't decreased


in terms of helping, unless you know how to manage a linux server, know the backend of vbulletin coding as well as the 15+ extra modifications we have then theres not much you could really do. fortunately we already have a team of technicians that know all this and are recognized as one of the best in the vbulletin hosting industry, thanks anyway
