Isn't this normal once the holidays are complete?

USPs employ a bunch of people around November and they fire them in January and February of the next year.


I agree on the Amazon fckery tho. They need to lay people off so they have enough money to throw billions at ai data centers. It's almost hilarious at this point because they're getting AI for the sake of being able to fire their employees, but they have to fire their employees in order to afford AI investments. It will be grand irony if AI doesn't actually manage to replace those jobs as effectively as they hoped.

A bunch of ppl were laid off right before Xmas too. I’m sure they all haven’t found jobs yet.

Companies that can afford their workforce are letting people go.

I was just thinking today that not too long ago your job was secure and the only energy you gave to employment was moving up the ladder.
