UPS will increase rates on many basic delivery services by an average of 4.9 percent starting Dec. 26.


The higher rates will cover U.S. ground shipping, U.S. air freight and international shipping, and regular freight.

UPS said Thursday that the extra money will help pay for expansion and improvements.

United Parcel Service Inc. earned $2.4 billion in the first six months of this year, a 6 percent increase over the same period of 2015.

No doubt, I expect UPS to become obsolete in 20 years like Barnes and Noble once Amazon starts contracting out there shipping services to other companies at a lower cost than UPS

i dread when i see UPS listed as the shipper on my amazon prime order on a thursday cause i know damn well i'm not getting that shyt until monday. if it's USPS i'm getting it saturday or sunday at the latest.

usps just took 5 days to get me a priority mail tiny ass package. it sat at the post office near me for a day, just sitting, missing it's expected delivery date. pretty ridiculous

all my priority mail packages that i mail to family gets to them in two days. i have honestly never had a priority mail problem. shyt i don't even have a problem with the seeds i buy off ebay from china and other asian countries, might take 2-3 weeks but i get it.

Is there any further explanation? Because I see raising rates as an explanation to cover shipping costs, while oil remains low.
