Throw the ball 32 times a game while also averaging an INT per game and don't expect to break a ROOKIE passing record brehs
So Matt Ryan didn't average an Int a game last season? That what 20 million a year gets you?

Him not believing in Cam ended up being a good thing for Cam in the long run. Cause he probably wouldnt have gotten a shot at Florida and who knows how his life and career would have turned out from that point.

But that's Cam's entire career :skip:

21/17
19/12
24/13

He needs a couple more years before you compare him to Matt Ryan. He's not even on the same 100 yards as Matt Ryan as a passer. Killa made strides last year and he looked good especially late in games. He now has Benjamin and that defense is stout. With that said I can't help but side eye management for the lack of offensive weapons. That running back contract years back really screwed them.

Well Matt Ryan has 3 seasons and 2 pro bowl starting receivers on cam as well as the greatest tight end EVER. :ld:

I acknowledged the lack of weapons breh got. They don't need nothing else on defense. I know their secondary is somewhat shaky but that D alone is going to win them 5-6 games and keep it close no matter what. They need more weapons. Benjamin was a start, but the fact I can't name one of their running backs and their fullback is probably the best(outside of Killa) in the backfield is a problem.

Maybe he was right. :manny: Whos to say Newton would have turned into the QB he is had he stayed at Florida. In some alternative universe Newton graduates from florida and ends up working at at a walmart.

:russ:
Take it from gator die hard , it was best for him that he transfered. there was no reason to recruit Brantley while CAM was already committed. He was going to be screwed over in the end.(See Cornelius Ingram , Jordan Reed,Gavin dikkey, etc)

:whoa: :whoa: Ingram and Reed are/were very good TEs. Ingram would have been a star had he not had those knee injuries. He was the perfect hybrid TE.

Fixed.

Urban's a bytch, but he's right. Only so long you can out athlete guys at QB. I still have yet to see Cam consistently make plays from the pocket as a QB

Cam consistently makes plays from the pocket every game as a QB, so your premises for Urban being right is wrong. Is Matt Ryan in the pocket? No, but most QBs in this league aren't. Newton doesn't even have to be Ryan from the pocket to win. And your assertion that athletic guys can't succeed at QB is especially perplexing with respects to Meyer. His most recent QBs have all been athletes.

Panthers were 29th in passing last season breh (out of 32 teams). How many plays (in the pocket) was he really making? :dwillhuh:

Newton was ranked 14th in Pass Expected Points Added using ESPN's QBR metric. He is ranked higher than Nick Foles, Andrew Luck, Cutler, Flacco and Aaron Rodgers using this metric, probably because his yards per average is top 5 in the league. So Newton definitely made consistent plays in the passing game in spite of declining weapons. Whether he stayed in the pocket to supplement his passing is irrelevant. He passed the ball last year to great effectiveness, better than a number of highly rated QBs.
