I agree with everything you said sans this. I think we need people like Lux, Daylyt, JC (you're welcome @Reptile ), etc., to go as crazy as possible to balance out the Punchout style. That is one of the reasons why many of these battles have little to no replay value. We get the candy on the first watch, so throw the w(rapper) away.
Battle rap is plateauing in terms of the advancement of the science, art, and math of rapping. When they say there are levels, this cannot be disregarded as a part of the craft as it blatantly is in the mainstream, and somewhat more commonly in this culture.
JC's material isnt as dense as Lux's IMO
