This will drag out until Putin is out of here. Biden did a good job from stopping Russia Expansion but this war been over. Putin just sending dudes to die and starving his economy
I honestly believe the US already knows Putin has plans outside of the Ukraine. I've switch between the Ukraine gifts are a waste of money back to there is a hidden war raging right now we aren't even fully aware of. This is the only explanation that makes sense to me to explain why we are sinking so much resources into the Ukraine as if it's was our own territory. They want to bleed Russia dry before the future hot conflict kicks off. Also, Putin himself have been dropping hints he isn't anywhere near done and the party is just getting started.
I think Putin has plans to take over major parts of Europe that it feels it has claim to such as most of the former Soviet block and Ukraine is just the opening salvo before escalation to direct conflict. China is probably in on it to the extent they will use the conflict to take over territories they feel belong to them.
This isn't just a test to show of strength. The government is preparing for something in the future they think will likely happen. It's also why I think a lot of stories about the "weakness" of our military have been printed lately like the low recruitment numbers. They are seeding the public with panic to make comfortable with the justification for when the state will need to make hard decisions in the future (i.e. making use of selective service or a draft) to engage in violent conflict. They are indirectly telling you since enough of you aren't volunteering, per the recruitment goals, hard decisions may need to be made in the future to rectify that issue.
It's been a while since we had a genuine conflict between large powers. Maybe the time of relative peace for westerner is coming to an end and constant war and violence is around the corner.

Yeah, his plan and China's are to keep the West from expanding their influence. That's the whole reason for the war in Ukraine.
Now the West has Ukraine in debt, so they have control over the Ukrainian government. Ukraine might as well be a part of NATO now.
Russia still is going to hold onto the land that they took from Ukraine, and the war is going to spread to other areas in the world.
