Ukraine was never being considered to host nuclear weapons, was never being positioned as a member of NATO and no way is Putin going to accept a peace plan where he only gets the Donbas after losing a million soldiers, his navy, and numerous oil facilities in Ukraine and the economy taking the hit it did.


Nor is Ukraine or Europe going to accept this deal as it would just be setting the stage for another Russian invasion once they’ve recovered from the war. The fundamental issue for Russia is Ukraine is positioning itself as a major energy supplier cutting off Russia from the rest of the continent
