His wife retroactively wrote and produced him over 20 years worth of hit songs, iconic videos, a Diamond album, A Diamond single, 8 Grammy awards, and 18 Billboard awards with which to negotiate a Vegas residency that went viral for HIM performing said hit songs in front of a sold out crowd of horny women night after night which led to Jay-Z personally reaching out for him to perform at the biggest event in Sports?

Usher has done a great job capitalizing on his old catalog and skill as a performer, and commitment to performing. His current music tho, misses the mark, and is unfocused and often off brand and below the bar he set in his prime. If he were able to drop a new project that was cohesive and captured what we knew him as instead of him trying to be a reflection of modern sensibilities, it would be all good. That said, doing the residency and leaning on being an act you have to see live is a winning move and definitely helped him move past the herpes controversy a few years ago. He’s got a tour set to do numbers, it would’ve been a 10/10 if the new music contributed to the hype as well, but I’m happy to revisit the classics.

When you think about it usher has been around for ever. I remember being like 12 years old and my way would be on tv day after day and nikka still looks the exact same
