Houthis were attacking Bahaman flagged commercial ships, the US Destroyer helped the commercial ships because of their distress call.

The Houthis were not attacking US ships and didn't even mention US vessels when they took responsibility.

This is just a maritime incedent not a direct or intentional attack on American forces.

Imo, It's a potential "terrorist" incident on commercial ship. This will probably increase military patrols in the area, but I don't think it will result in a major military engagement with Houthi rebels or snowball into another regime change mission in the region.

Trying to see where it is headed or if others are involved.

I heard on the news of "drones" etc.
Did not seem like your usual incident.
