Usually white writers/commentators use the Ebonic word "be" wrong.

Watching The Wire. Wee Bay asked "how my fish" or something and his babymoms replied "Them fish be all right" (or something).

Niqqas in MY hood and any other hood I've interacted with woulda said "Them fish all right".

"Them bishes be trippin" refers to the bishes tripping on different occasions and there's an assumption that they will most likely trip in the future. If the question was "What are those bishes doing right now" and the bishes were in fact trippin at that moment, "them bishes trippin [right now]"

It's kinda like a missing part of speech that I can't think of an analog for in proper English. "That niqqa be drinkin" means he drinks regularly. "That niqqa drinkin" means he's drinking right now. I notice that in movies/comics/[other media] they include "be" when they mean the latter.

They don't be usin proper Ebonics and sh;t.

But they got it right more often than not.

Yeah I can't help but to notice the shyt its very cringe worthy. There needs to be more Black writers and show creators. It's like after the Million Man March the more organic forms of Black media made by Black people became less prevalent while you got outsiders writing scripts misusing dialects and colloquialisms, poaching urban Black culture, its like everything was gentrified not just the neighborhood.

It's true It's not just changing the verb "to be" (is/are) into its infinitive "be" form
