This vanity article kind of went under the radar. It’s an interesting read. By the way Dame was not wrong saying Charlemagne is being paid by ROC nation. Atleast so it seems.
That white writer keeps calling him HOV in the article.Didn’t say Shawn Carter once.
Jay is starting to look like Puffy; not an actual businessman, just a mascot white people call on to look diverse. He’s more Stringer Bell than Avon.
No one knows how much he’s worth; they only know what his company pays Forbes Magazine to put out there. I do know Roc Nation was damn near under water 3 years ago thoughthe fukk.... jay been making wack music for damn near 20 years, but to say he's not an actual businessman is crazy talk
remind me how much he worth
They know what his companies are sold for or valued, these companies are on the books of companies like LVMH and the owner of cash app. You weirdos think that some of the worlds largest companies cook the books for Jay-z to brag in Forbes :mjloj:No one knows how much he’s worth; they only know what his company pays Forbes Magazine to put out there. He is a rich entertainer who makes/made money off his face and influence, not from sitting in cutting deals. Every deal I heard of recently went nowhere. That Monogram cannabis, bitcoin/crypto for the ghetto, etc
This casino deal (and the Barclays) by all accounts shows exactly what I’m saying. He’s brought in on deals because he’s a famous black face and the major corporations need to pretend like they have black people in mind.
What are his companies? They know what his companies are sold for or valued, these companies are on the books of companies like LVMH and the owner of cash app. You weirdos think that some of the worlds largest companies cook the books for Jay-z to brag in Forbes :mjloj:
Jay has never said what he's worth (except that it's a billion or more) and said that the Forbes figure is wrong.
Tidal, Armand Brignac, D'usse to name a few that he has sold partly or completely. What are his companies?
Have you weirdos considered that there's black people that support black businesses? Or support some of the biggest legends in the business he works in?This vanity article kind of went under the radar. It’s an interesting read. By the way Dame was not wrong saying Charlemagne is being paid by ROC nation. Atleast so it seems.
I actually think dame has been acting ridiculous haha. Not on dames side at all. But he was right in that one section of the interview. That’s about it though.Have you weirdos considered that there's black people that support black businesses? Or support some of the biggest legends in the business he works in?
Jay-z goes back 30 years with Envy, Clue and Angela Yee, and seems very respectful. Why would Charlamagne not salute him?
Dame out calling people gays, losers and sissys and then asking why don't you support me like you support Jay-z , you must work for him![]()
the fukk.... jay been making wack music for damn near 20 years, but to say he's not an actual businessman is crazy talk

To be honest that’s probably how Roc Nation PR told them to refer to him in all media. The writer wouldn’t just do that on his own
Jay-Z got pimped by Ceasar’s and SL Green, and in turn Jay tried to pimp black and working class people to get this over the line.
While Jay had no ownership stake in the deal, he’s the one getting all of the press that he failed to buy a casino. Just how the actual buyers wanted. Same way he ended up looking crazy with the Barclays deal. He never learns.
Dame may have arrested development, but he never allowed himself or his company to be pimped out by major corporations. Jay is starting to look like Puffy; not an actual businessman, just a mascot white people call on to look diverse. He’s more Stringer Bell than Avon.
Also Charlamagne and The Breakfast Club are paid to shill for Roc Nation. That segment they did yesterday on this topic made it extremely obvious.
So every black person that supports another black person (even his friends or friends long-time friends) is paid, got it.I actually think dame has been acting ridiculous haha. Not on dames side at all. But he was right in that one section of the interview. That’s about it though.
Jay isn’t like Puff
He’s more like Trump
They Profit from “Failures” That Don’t Really Hurt Them
Trumps casinos, airlines, and “university” all went bust but he personally came out fine. He used bankruptcy strategically, walking away with licensing fees and leaving investors and workers holding the bag.
Jay-Z did the same with Tidal, Rocawear’s later years, even the sports ventures, the liquors and spirits he was selling but he used those ventures as leverage and sold at the right time. All of those were seen as failures to a degree also.
Both names are the real selling point not their actual business and products.
They’re not really business moguls more so brand moguls.
I agree up until the point of separating such tactics from the umbrella of "business".
"Business " being about square earnest upfront exchange of ideas and services is some American mythological bullshyt. Sure maybe that can be the case with certain entities in certain areas to certain extents... but that's just a segment of the broad ecosystem(s)
business is just another arena of warfare... anything goes if you can pull it and enforce if. Trump can be just as good in "business" as he is bad in "business"... it just depends on how one chooses to frame it and what objectives one wants to center
Id moreso categorize Jay as an accessory of capital though. He's been allowed into those arenas and as society disintegrates and thr interests and needs of capital shift and theres less need to project the myth of America we're really gonna see how powerful and essential this black excellence class ISNT. Their position is precarious
