I don't think that at all. I think I was born in this country at a particular point in time where we have been extremely fortunate. Empires fall. It's an inevitability but this country accelerated that process by electing Trump a 2nd time. I think a lot of us have assumed that 3 years from now we get a new Democratic President and they fix the mistakes of this current guy, but this time we aren't going to be able to fix the damage done. This country and the world will be vastly different than it was before.

Edit: My original post was more in regard to there being checks and balances that should've prevented this from happening. Not that anyone is going to save us, but more so that if people were just doing their jobs than a very unpopular President wouldn't just going around attacking other countries.

I see your point, but as a country we were able to come back from 2008, we bounced back from Covid as well if not better than any other country. I don't really believe too much in government being the reason for my successes and failures in life. However, we can't ignore that the decisions of this current President can turn the world upside down. I think this is bit deeper than 'both sides'.

No, you keep trying to blame 1. It's more than a person or a party. Both so called parties are a part of it. It extends beyond America.
