Im not a fan of that song and not for this verzuz. I always thought he tried to be Nelly

He's nothing like Nelly outside of the day t that they used to look alike.

Choppa style is basically their 2nd most-played legacy song at this point, when it comes to public functions. P always brings him out.

Sidenote: nobody is talking Bout how choppa was on his deathbed.

These eastcoast nyggas on here were auto giving CMR the win, because they don’t know shyt about break em off something, bourbons & lacs, etc.

Nolimit had so many street hits with no singles/videos its’ crazy

That's not true. Im east coast born n raised and they have a huge fanbase. Theyre the ones who blew the south up in the first place. Its crazy how history has been rewritten.

You heard Cam tell if, but he wasn't just talking about himself. He was talking about his hood in general.

I agree with most of this, but I don't think this was sabotaged. It wouldn't make sense. There hasn't been a Verzuz in years. Why would they not want the first Verzuz in years to be huge? I think it was great for how it went down. It was nearly 2 hours. It could've went on for nearly 4 because there were definitely songs from both sides that didn't get played that were missed. They could even run it back for a Round 2 given how successful this one was.

Sabatoged in the aspect that it should have only been in New Orleans and not had no time or 10-song restrictions. It’s disrespectful to the south.

They would never have done an East Coast verzuz in LV. You think Lox vs Dipset would ever be held anywhere else? They’d never have it in New Orleans.

You haven’t lived until you have been in a Southern Black club and heard classic South music.

I remember the first time I was in New Orleans at the HOB after Bayou Classic back in 2010. The crowd reaction when Kool DJ Supa Mike played a classic CMR set was :blessed: .

BG - It’s All On U
BG - Uptown Thang
BG - Get Ya Shine On
Hot Boys - We On Fire (Get It How U Live version)
UNLV - Jazzy B**ch
Magnolia Shorty - Monkey On The Stick.

I knew the songs but that’s when I saw the full experience. It’s similar to Project Pat,Yo Gotti or Playa Fly in Memphis. It just hits that much harder and some things the internet will never get behind screens.

There were a few good arguments as to why this was not held in New Orleans.

Even at 10 songs, this still went for 1 hour and 40 minutes.

Nicca robbed him blind for years and tried to have him killed :skip:

He wouldn't be where he's at if it wasn't for birdie.

He would've been out the game completely.

KELLY PRICE SAID THE CROWD
WAS LIT, WE JUST COULDN'T
HEAR IT AT HOME.

PRODUCTION WAS OBVIOUSLY
MORE CONCERNED WITH MAKING
SURE WE HEARD THE AUDIENCE
OVER THE CROWD NOISE

The crowd wasn't bad actually.

The problem is, the complex-con nerds had the best seats and were higging the cameras.

That's how I knew, now limit had this in the bag by the 2nd round. Once I heard the crowd rapping along with P to "break em off somethin", it was basically a second round KO.

lol he was still a teenager then, mastering his craft

Most of the all-time greats were teenagers

Hell, BG carried the label at 15.

Wayne is just mid and caught fire after mainstream rap fell off a cliff.

It was gonna do huge numbers regardless.

It just feels like they knew that if planned properly, no other Verzus would be able to top it, and they don't want them having that title.

If they didn't want them to have that title, they simply could've... not had it. Sabotaging the Verzuz would sabotage the Verzuz brand. Business says this was testing the waters to not only see of Verzuz was still viable. Now that they have the numbers, they could definitely run it back and do a Round 2 with a bigger venue.

lol this reply makes no sense

Yes it does make sense and you understand it.

That's why you conveniently left the 2nd part out of the quote.

This battle was a no-brainer. Automatic success.

Aint not point of running it back unless cmurder or mystikal come home.

Yes, there would be a reason to run it back. If they announced a Round 2 at a bigger venue and they went dumb with the promo, then yes it could be big. They could even capitalize off the drama with Mercedes not being there to perform "I Can Tell" by having her on stage this time, Wayne and Turk actually being there. Snoop (for the whole set) , and Mo B. dikk showing up.

New Orleans is the GOAT event destination city, they really did a disservice to the moment not doing this in a packed out Smoothie King center…I went to the cash money reunion last year in New Orleans and it honestly blew this Verzuz away, was way more epic…then partying on bourbon all night on the let out with all the spots playing the classics

Sounds like the offer for a tour is on the table and looking likely…I’ll make a trip out of the nawlins date

Crowd was absolutely terrible. No way this should have been the front row, much less ANYWHERE in there.

Pretty much all the big concerts I have went to a arenas have been pretty much all Black/culture/however you wanna say it. It hit different when everybody there on the same page singing word-for-word.

This is from G Herbo’s bday bash in Chicago at Wintrust Arena.

A non “cultured” crowd aint gonna know that song and react like it’s one of the biggest R&B songs ever (which it is) even tho it wasn’t a Billboard mainstream hit.

They must have been offered the bag to have it in Vegas
