The concept behind Videogame Championship Wrestling (VGCW) is absurdly simple; make characters like Link, Mario, Bison, Kratos, Batman, Sonic, etc. in WWE 13, create simple narratives that sets up feuds between these aforementioned characters, let CPU v.s. CPU matches commence, and broadcast the whole thing on twitch.tv every week as a 2 and a half hour episode. The main attraction is obviously seeing these recognizable videogame characters fight with each other but the structure of VGCW yields one major benefit that separates it from the rest of the crowd as a wrestling fed.

Since all the matches are all CPU vs. CPU, there is always a sense of unpredictability behind every feud. The common trope of a face winning a feud ending match over a heel doesn't always work out. The underdog doesn't always win. There is always a chance that an undercarder will go over the main event guy. As a long time wrestling fan experiencing this deviation from typical wrestling and storytelling trope and is quite refreshing to me. There is always a sense of craziness lingering in the background. The show creator, Bazza, initially tried to be controlling of this craziness where he re-started a match whose outcome was not in commensurate with the story scenario he had developed. But when the live chat in kayfabe called him out on it, it resulted in birth of character Bazza McMahon, who by the end of the season had to go to jail because of charges brought forth by Phoenix Wright.

If all of this sounds interesting, then instead of watch old episodes and trying to catch up with major stories, I would recommend just [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ud4I0oK10Yo&list=PLXSA4SPTJosgsXetfmL7Dot_R7IZREXyC"]watching the most recent episode[/ame] and enjoying this madness every week when Bazza streams his show live on twitch. Watching this show with other like minded videogame and wrestling enthusiasts is half the fun, as one might expect. And thankfully, there are people who have archived both the show and the chat, as apparent in the youtube episode linked herein.

Been watching this since late last year. Funniest shyt, plus storylines way more interesting than WWE (even using in-game glitches as a storyline).
The next stream is Tuesday @ 6pm EST (dude lives in England btw).
