Let's not forget Vic Mensa is from Chicago.
And Akademiks blew up off of capitalizaing off of gang violence in Chicago and regailing hood tales of Chiraq "savages" to his largely suburban fanbase.
He's not respected amongst many of them and some of them like Lil Reese and other have called him out...hence the reason he stopped covering Chicago rappers.
