Van Terry, the father or Shirellda Terry, lunged at convicted serial killer Michael Madison at Madison's sentencing on Thursday.

The father of a woman slain by a convicted Ohio serial killer lunged at his daughter’s murderer during a sentencing hearing Thursday, according to reports.

Michael Madison, 38, received a death sentence moments before Van Terry turned around from the podium where he was speaking and dove over a table to grab at Madison’s face and throat, the Cleveland Plain Dealer reported.

Courtroom bailiffs could be seen subduing Terry in the Cleveland courtroom as other audience members screamed, “No! No!” in video of the hearing published by the news outlet. The officers escorted Terry and another audience member from the courtroom and the hearing went into a recess following the struggle.
