But in a life or death situation, is that 220 pound former d1 wrestler really getting tapped by the 40 year old science teacher, or is the science teacher getting lifted into the air and slammed on his back, possibly pinned and put in a leg lock thats gonna rip his tendons out his body?

Life or death, I think if the science teacher is advanced enough (purple belt or higher) he can avoid a takedown for the most part. In my class last week we literally did a knockout round separated by weight class, If you get scored on or tapped you have to get back in line. Those advanced belts at like 185 and higher were able to avoid his takedowns
