So I played it for about an hour or so and my assumptions were right.
The game feels like Mass Effect 3.5
(it does not feel like Gears at all btw) which is perfectly fine with me.
I'm feeling the gameplay so far, traditional shooter, and the original story has got me intrigued so far.
I don't really understand the complaint about the graphics some reviews had because the game is pretty imo. Looks better than Mass Effect 2 and 3 did on consoles
(but that could be because I'm playing this game on PC with max settings)
No complaint from the gameplay or graphics department , and thus far the story is straight. can't give a final verdict until I finish it but I'm definitely digging it so far......
Everyone who has ever enjoyed a Star Trek episode or movie or anyone who has played Mass Effect and longed for bioware to create a Star Trek game with the same mechanics should check this out.......
if ur a lame nerd trekkie like myself then its worth the $60 retail
(or $50 PC price). If u have no interest in Star Trek then its still worth checking out but wait until its $30 or less. Its not the greatest game of all time but its the best Star Trek game in existence
(and the franchise has been around since the 1960s so thats saying alot)
IGN has yet to rate it but the IGN user community has given it a 7.4 which is good
