That's not even it the projects got cleaned up and they made it safe for squares to come out the park for a concert. A lot of them probably came from all over the city and surrounding areas.

Is that a bad thing though? Integration is good, and low crime rates.

Unless you want everyone to get gunned up and clapped quick...Not sure thats productive?

Also, look at the video, you are seeing white people ENJOYING Mobb Deep content, throwing their hands in the air and cheering. Isn't that good? Don't you want these guys to enjoy the artists they grew up with?

I do like the lower crime rates and shyt, I'd just appreciate it a bit more if the black people who have called these places home for the last couple decades were able to enjoy the progression of their own city.

On the flip side we have minorities moving on up, getting bread and ending up in a nicer spot...

IMO we should be championing that as the positive scenario rather than avoiding gentrifications of old hoods.

Ultimately, it helps Mobb Deep eat and is good for hip hop that people 'outside' the culture are putting money into artists' pockets... cos ain't no one going double plat nowadays, so this is how the Mobb and other 90s dudes gonna eat.. off shows, the bigger and more diverse the audience, the better.
