Nas is definitely not competing for the top spot especially since Illmatic is one of the most legendary albums in hip hop, and he probably won't ever make anything as genius as that album was and no one ever will. Heck, Life is Good is a better all around album than GKMC. To me, Kendrick isn't worthy of acknowledgement via a diss track or even a subliminal. Kid is one album deep, he's not even king of the west, and personally I think this generation don't care about content. He just raps real fast and says some shyt that rhyme and suddenly he's considered great. His content is wack. I can't fukk with him, and he needs to respect his elders.

Kendrick is a little hyped up kid, and he never said shyt about Nas or Jay, and if anything if they respond they'd lose respect. :yeshrug:
I agree man, I think people ruined Kendrick's rise to star by the jumping the gun too quick. That saying that overhype can kill your shine quickly came true. Even still, Kendrick is still a dope artist. Just let the nikka breath. He has the all the time in the world to make another album, hell even better than GKMC, if he doesn't rush it. The nikka isn't pressured to do anything right now but eat off them tours and concerts.

That can stunt his growth as well, no pun intended, when people are quick to call you a saint or a legend too quick. It's exciting for hip hop, I'll admit it because nikkas been too sweet to each other and too scared to call each other out, so I respect that. But it's not like he said anything profound and it annoys me that people act like he said some crazy shyt like it was legendary or something. He's still a kid and youngin, he has room to grow. It was all for publicity. How many nikkas have done this? Create buzz for themselves by calling out others? It's regular shyt.
