Sorry about posting a Complex interview but he talks about bunch of somewhat interesting things :manny:

He said that he decided to sign with Tommy Boy who offered him a million dollars vs. signing to Dre who offered 250k & unlimited Dre beats (this was in 98)

I think he made the right move overall...he probably would've stayed on the shelf had he stuck with Dre...or eventually leave/get dropped

smh, he could have had a nice run since em was on aftermath and blew up, royce would have been in d12 and obie spots

Aftermath dont help anyone unless its eminem... Heard mad nikkas sign to them and just get jerked around...

how many artists signed w/ dre then went on to wither into nothingness. the odds were not in his favor. i believe he made the right move.
he wasn't making any real noise til he got with slaughterhouse and bad meets evil

Royce probably got paid for writing for Dre on Chronic 2001, but signing with Aftermath around that time wouldn't have worked out since Em was the only focus at that time.
