Yeah the longer I've been around music the more I see this.

When you really locked in with nikkas you just create and go. It can create some real "wtf was this nikka thinking when he made this" moments but for the most part shyt works out. It's also why some producers only like working with certain rappers because they're easy to work with. Producers like working with curren$y because every beat on that pack you sent him is getting used one way or the other

It makes sense when you think about it. Because just cause the artist to hear/see the vision they might skip over some fire because it’s out they comfort zone or they just don’t hear it. But if the producer made it for you and you trust them… it’s magic. Any Future d Zaytoven joint is easily my top future songs. And that album he did with usher…every year I’m hoping they run it back :noah: That’s one of them special albums where I remember where I was first hearing it and that timeframe bumping that album

Full interview is dope

Applaud new age ways of doing things when new age music is trash, brehs.

This is asinine. Zaytoven is ethering himself that he’s not a diverse producer. Of course they don’t need to pick bc ngga the beats all the same :mjtf:

Go watch Fade to Black and imagine jay z rapping over some of them timbo beats before he picked Dirt off your shoulders. Imagine we never got ‘Lucifer’ bc instead jay picked the Dope man beat. This is stupid

Lastly, nothing in or from Atlanta is to be modeled after. In music or otherwise :dame::scust:

And that's exactly why futures music is repetitive and won't be remembered in 20 years. That may be great for efficiency but it ain't good for quality. Can't hate on it. It's made him good money. A lot of artists use the same formula. Keeping the streams and revenue coming even if the music itself is nothing special. There's really not many Kendrick's remaining in hip hop anymore. Guys who really wanna create a masterpiece every time out.

nikkas is dumb as hell thinking Pluto music repatative and he won’t be remembered in 20years lol. This generation of rappers and fans look up to him like folks did Hov.
I used to work with this girl who talked about meeting him and how she was a huge fan but was mad because he was acting Hollywood.

That was over a decade ago.

He's already proven his longevity at this point.

This makes no sense. So basically there's no creative process, no criticism for the producer to get better, no reason to build on to the sound...just "here you go" rinse repeat.
